Installing Blinds

Installing blinds can be a straightforward task if you have the right tools and follow the correct steps. Here’s a manual to guide you through the installation process:

Step 1: Gather the necessary tools and materials

Before you start installing your blinds, make sure you have all the necessary tools and materials. These include:

  • Blinds
  • Measuring tape
  • Screwdriver
  • Screws
  • Wall anchors (if necessary. Installing on the wall)
  • Level
  • Pencil

Step 2: Measure the window

Measure the width and height of your window to determine the size of your blinds. When measuring, make sure to measure the inside of the window frame or the outside of the window frame, depending on your measurements and your election (Refer to “Measuring” Resources)

Step 3: Mark the placement of the brackets

Using your measuring tape and pencil, mark the placement of the brackets on the top of the window frame. The brackets should be evenly spaced, and their placement should be level.

Step 4: Install the brackets

Using your screwdriver and screws, install the brackets onto the top of the window frame. If necessary, use wall anchors to ensure that the brackets are securely attached to the wall.

Step 5: Attach the valance

Some blinds come with a valance, which is a decorative cover that goes over the top of the blinds. If your blinds come with a valance, attach it to the top of the brackets using the provided clips.

Step 6: Attach the blinds

Depending on the type of blinds you have, there may be different attachment methods.

ROLLER:

Insert the roller into the brackets on one side. Then, insert the roller into the brackets on the other side. Push the roller firmly into the brackets until it clicks into place. Make sure the blinds are level and centered in the brackets.

VENETIAN:

Slide the headrail of the blinds into the brackets on one side. Then, slide the headrail into the brackets on the other side. Make sure the blinds are centered and level in the brackets

Step 7: Test the blinds

Once the blinds are installed, test them to ensure that they are working properly. Open and close them a few times to make sure that they are operating smoothly and that the slats are tilting correctly.
