Measuring for blinds can seem intimidating, but it’s actually a simple process. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Gather your tools: You’ll need a measuring tape and a notepad and a pen to record your measurements.
2. Decide where you want to mount the blinds: There are two options here – inside mount or outside mount. Inside mount means that the blinds will be installed inside the window frame, while outside mount means that the blinds will be installed outside the window frame. Be sure to decide which option you want before taking any measurements.
3. Measure the width: For the inside mount, measure the width of the window frame at the top, middle, and bottom. Record the smallest of these measurements as the width. For the outside mount, measure the width of the area you want the blinds to cover. Add a few centimetres on each side for coverage and to prevent light from seeping through.
4. Measure the height: For the inside mount, measure the height of the window frame at the left, center, and right. Record the longest of these measurements as the height. For outside mount, measure the height of the area you want the blinds to cover. Add a few centimetres at the top and bottom for coverage and to prevent light from seeping through.
5. Double-check your measurements: Before you purchase your blinds, double-check your measurements to ensure accuracy. If you’re unsure, measure again to be sure.

Order your blinds: Once you have your measurements, you can order your blinds. Be sure to specify whether you want an inside or outside mount and provide your measurements to ensure a perfect fit.
